Voseo tuteante is a most relevant isogloss of Spanish, and the culmination of a long historical process. As a form of address, it requires the analysis of the address system for a proper contextualization. As historical form, three main types of voseo must be distinguished: medieval, golden and voseo tuteante. From the study of variation, voseo tuteante needs a clear typology with all its variants. The unification of all those aspects makes it urgent to belabor a panchronic typology of voseo and a general analytic framework to clarify what is voseo, how many types there are, how they relate to each other and how they can be identified. This paper unifies different aspects of the topic and offers a new typology of the verb morphology of voseo as the piece that was missing for the big picture.
