dc.description.abstract | The thesis will work to define a modern American Imperative, and how it introduces new age challenges to international humanitarian law and international human rights law with the introduction of combat drones in anti-terror targeted killings by virtue of American exceptionalism. It examines the foundation of the United States of America to better understand the cultural ideals rooted in America’s rise to a superpower, how America uses that power to achieve its foreign policy goals in the War on Terror, and how those actions affect international law.
