This study aimed to explore a different context in examining human rights and gender justice in Iran. With this purpose women’s led community projects had been selected in three different regions: Kerman, Kurdistan, and Tehran. Such projects are not common to study human rights in Iran, mainly because their objectives are not defined explicitly in the language of universal human rights or human rights education. The other purpose of this study was to give voice to different actors with different perspectives, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds and to understand their viewpoints on human rights and gender justice in their context.
