Sammendrag
The research investigates the link between digital inclusion and sustainable development across various nations. Utilizing methodologies like correlation and cluster analysis, the thesis identifies how digital technologies can foster economic and social progress by grouping countries based on similar digital and social advancement traits.
A significant part of the study was the development of a new ranking system that combined the Digital Inclusivity Index (DII) and the Social Progress Index (SPI). This innovative approach provided a unique perspective on how countries perform in integrating digital technologies with social progress. The findings emphasize that higher levels of digital inclusion correlate with greater success in achieving sustainable development goals, suggesting targeted digital infrastructure investments can enhance sustainability outcomes.
The thesis offers strategic insights for policymakers, advocating for the integration of digital technologies into sustainable development strategies to maximize societal benefits. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the interplay between technology and sustainability, highlighting the importance of promoting digital equity as a means to achieve inclusive and balanced growth.
