dc.description.abstractThis study presents a techno-economic assessment of an amine-based carbon capture technology.To investigate the effects of increasing the flue gas flow rate to the plant, two additional scenarios were created. In the first one the flue gas flow rate was doubled and in the second one a new duplicated absorber was introduced to the plant. Then a dimensioning and cost estimation were carried out using the Aspen HYSYS spread sheets to automatically calculate CAPEX and OPEX and carbon capture cost.
