dc.description.abstractPurpose: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the stakeholders of the Southern Oslo-Fjord region perception of sustainability within the passenger and cruise sector. Design/methodology/approach: A qualitative research methodology is applied in this study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data from various stakeholders located in the Southern Oslo-Fjord. The collected data was analysed manually. Findings: The findings of this study illustrates various stakeholders’ perception of sustainability and sustainable development. Once those perceptions where recognized, the perceptions of sustainability within the maritime domain and further within the passenger and cruise sector were identified. Additionally, stakeholders’ contribution to a sustainable community and their sustainable development performance were identified. Contribution: This thesis contributes to knowledge creation of the different stakeholders’ perceptions of sustainability, and further shows their contribution to the community and sustainable development of Southern Oslo-Fjord region. Originality: This thesis strengthens empirical literature of sustainability in the passenger and cruise sector in Norway.nb_NO
