The study explored an extended Acceptance Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for the purpose of developing a reliable tool for measuring potential user’s acceptance of autonomous ships. Correlation analysis was conducted to see if the 8 variables of the extended TAM model co vary, and regression analysis to further explain the nature of the relationships. The study reinforced the notion of strong relationships between the original constructs in TAM. Results also showed that trust was a major construct in the extended TAM model. The relationship between values and attitudes towards using autonomous ships were insignificant, contradicting existing theories describing their relationship.nb_NO
